Magnificent Script of Life

Luke 19:37-40
As they reached the place where the road started down from the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.
"Bless the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven and glory in highest heaven!
But some of the Paharisees among the crowd said, "Teacher, rebuke yur followers for saying things like that!"
He replied, "If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!"

If your faith journey were a movie or a musical, which one would it be?

One person suggested "Liar Liar" with Jim Carrey. Once you earnestly put on that "Christian" label, it becomes more difficult to be deceitful or to buy into the low standards set by others. Owning that label makes you accountable.

Sooo, what's your movie or musical?

  1. I would choice American History X, even though the movie is very graphic and derogatory, it still has a very strong and compelling argument of character change and message of acceptance without hatred. I feel that i have done wrong and have been a sinner but i try to do well just as the main character worked to save his family and brother from the life that he started.

  2. I would say, The Pursuit of Happyness. Life gives us many challenges and it is up to us how we react and respond. In this movie Will Smith plays a struggling single parent who is faced with every possible challenge. But despite all that he rises above and breaks free from those hardships. Being a “Christian” doesn’t always mean we live perfect lives free from hardship. To me, having God on my team makes life more manageable. Life will always be filled with challenges, but it’s up to us how we respond to those challenges. God is always there, walking right beside us through those tough times, but it’s up to us to reach out and accept HIS hand that is being extended to us.
